Compresssed Gas Safety

This interactive eLearning experience introduces learners to the safe handling and storage of compressed gases through a combination of instructional content, video, motion graphics, and interactive elements.

I wanted to create an experience that felt approachable and visually engaging without losing the professionalism required for a safety-focused topic. The course combines a collage-inspired visual style with bright colors, textured video treatments, and dynamic audio to give traditionally technical content a more distinctive and memorable presentation.

    I began by reviewing the supplied storyboard and voice-over to understand the content, narration, visual requirements, and production needs for each scene. I then mapped the course in Notion, breaking the storyboard into individual scenes and identifying opportunities for video, graphics, animation, and supporting audio.

    For the visual direction, I explored several approaches before settling on a collage and scrapbook-inspired aesthetic. I developed and sourced supporting graphics, incorporated AI-assisted image generation and editing where appropriate, and created a rough paper texture treatment that could be carried consistently across the video content.

    I then produced and edited the multimedia assets before building the final experience in Articulate Storyline 360. Sound effects were incorporated selectively to add emphasis and make transitions and video sequences feel more dynamic.

    The course went through multiple rounds of review and QA to refine timing, audio, visual consistency, interactions, and the overall learner experience.

  • The course combines Storyline interactions, knowledge checks, layered content, and multimedia sequences to support the supplied learning content.

    Interactive elements were built using Storyline triggers and layers, with visual feedback used to help learners understand their selections and progress through the activities.

    Video and audio were integrated directly into the learning experience, with transitions, sound effects, and on-screen elements timed carefully to create a cohesive flow between instructional content and interactive activities.

  • I chose a collage and scrapbook-inspired visual direction to give the course a more approachable personality while working with content that could otherwise feel technical or overly formal.

    Bright colors were introduced to create energy and visual variety, while rough paper textures, layered graphics, and crumpled-paper transitions established a consistent tactile quality throughout the experience. I also applied the textured treatment to the video sequences so that the multimedia content felt integrated with the overall visual language.

    Custom and AI-assisted graphics were combined with sourced visual assets to create the collage compositions. Supporting sound effects were used alongside the visual transitions to add another layer of movement and help make the video sequences feel more dynamic.

    The goal was to create something visually distinctive without allowing the aesthetic to interfere with the clarity or seriousness of the safety content.
